Summer is yet to come, but probably most of us are excited about it. We are all going to the most fancy beaches again, bringing with us our families, and cooking our favorite delicacies while in there.
Speaking of delicacies, of course, there will be salads in our list and as early as now many of us are thinking already of a new salad recipe that is both tasty and easy to prepare.
This recipe that we will learn is something unique and new. It is something that is also healthy to eat, while it is also very tasty. A salad that is perfect for summer, and a salad you don’t want to miss.
Summer Mozzarella Salad with Basil and Tomatoes
This recipe is perfect under the sun. You will feel replenished and fresh while you eat this one of a kind salad when it is cool. Not to mention that it is very juicy, so you won’t feel dehydrated while you are sunbathing. The ingredients are pretty simple, while some of the ingredients can be readily available in your garden during summer days. The simple recipes are: 3 large sliced tomatoes, 8 ounces of sliced mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup olive oil, ¼ cup of balsamic vinegar, ¼ teaspoon of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of ground black pepper, and ¼ cup of fresh minced basil.
In a large serving platter, place the sliced tomatoes alternating with mozzarella cheese slices lying towards half of each pieces, then set aside. Meanwhile, in a separate jar with tight-fitting lid, combine the oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper; shake well but not vigorous.
Then drizzle it over the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella, and sprinkle it with fresh basil. Refrigerate for about an hour or until desired, and then serve and enjoy.
